Made for Mermaids Vivienne and Dylan Release!

The lovely Megan G. at Made for Mermaids has released an amazing set of patterns for the whole family! I have been dying to share photos of these for quite a while, since testing started back before Easter! There is the Girls' Vivienne, Women's Mama Vivienne, Men's Dylan Tee, and Boys' Dylan Tee (I modified it here because my baby boy is still too small for the smallest 1/2 size in the boys pattern). Each pattern is on sale through 6/2/17 at midnight CST for $7.50. Or grab all of them in the bundle for only $18 - less than $5 a pattern and 50% off!!

I'll start with the girls pattern because I just love showing the photos of my girls ;) It is available in sizes 1/2-14, with top, tunic, and dress lengths. It is finished with binding, which is a pain to sew, but finishes oh so beautifully! While it is a tank bodice, the flutter sleeve hack from the Mama Ella Sew-A-Long can also be added to the Vivienne bodice. I didn't do this option for my girls, but you'll see it later on in my women's version.

First up I have an early tester version (there were some slight changes made after this version to the binding and neck opening) in a lightweight sweater knit and modal from Sincerely Rylee Fabrics. (A note on Sincerely Rylee- she's my go-to for fabrics of all types, but her jam-and mine-is sweater knits. She's got the best customer service around, and you're supporting an uber-sweet single mom when you buy.)

Next up is the final version of the Vivienne pattern. I used some of the fabulous cotton lycra CLUB line from Raspberry Creek for these two. I just love these! <3

Next I'll talk about Mama Vivienne. It's available in sizes grey-red (see the website for the size chart!) I used a modal from Knitpop for the bodice, side panels, and flutter sleeves. Then I used a French Terry (from Sincerely Rylee again) for the "skirt" pieces. This is the top length and I absolutely love it, even though I think it might look like I'm wearing an apron sometimes, ha!

Not my best photo but I love the top just the same ;)

Finally, there is the Men's Dylan Tee, that matches the boys' Dylan Tee! It's available in sizes XXS-XXXL. I made both a long sleeve and short sleeve version for my husband during testing. He's right around average height, but has a really long torso, so most of his RTW shirts are too short - particularly if I miss one and it ends up in the dryer 😬. For this reason, I love all of the lengths (short, average, and tall) provided on the pattern. She even gives finished measurements for each length, so if your hubby is average height like mine, but has a long (or short) torso, you can choose just the right size for him! First up is the short sleeve version in the white French Terry that I used for the skirt on my top (Sincerely Rylee Fabrics), with the side panel in the same blue modal that I used for my top (Knitpop).

Finally, I also made a long sleeve version (because you can never be TOO prepared for the next season, right? Or maybe I'm just dreaming of cooler weather already ;) ha!). This was all done in French Terry, again from Sincerely Rylee Fabrics (I told you she was my go-to!).

Now for my favorites - the group shots!! Because I just love showing off my not-so-little fam ;)

😍😍😍😍😍😍

This would be a lot cuter picture if it wasn't for the lens cap and cell phone in my back pocket ;)

WHEW! If you made it to the end of the lengthy post, you the real MVP ;) Don't forget, each pattern is available individually for $7.50 through midnight CST 6/2/17. OR spend just a little more and get the ENTIRE bundle for a steal of $18!! Less than $5 a pattern, what?!? That's 50% off, and the first time M4M has given that large of a discount! And that bundle is ONLY available during the release sale, so DO NOT WAIT!!
