Made for Mermaids Sommer Pattern

I posted earlier about the new Made for Mermaids Baby Sommer pattern, so now I'm going to talk about the girl's Sommer pattern! Just like baby, the bodice has both empire and natural waist options, and it has both single and double straps. In addition to the dress length, it has both a tunic and maxi length! It comes in size 1/2 to 14, and looks great on all the age ranges!

The first versions I'm going to show you are the pre-tester versions. They are both made with Cotton Lycra from the new CLUB line at Raspberry Creek Fabrics. A word on this fabric: if you've used Art Gallery fabric, this feels almost exactly like it, with a much more reasonable price tag if you know what I mean ;) Don't get me wrong, I LOVE me some Art Gallery Knit, but man, budgets only allow for so much of that gold haha! My "baby" (because she's 2 and we still call her Baby) is in the maxi length and my older daughter is in the dress length.

And finally, I have to show you what I think is my favorite dress I've ever sewn. This is a Cotton Lycra bodice with a woven skirt fabric from Sincerely Rylee Fabric Shop. And It. Is. Stunning. A complete showstopper.
